We take every build, tear it down to a bare chassis, and rebuild to your custom Land Rover Defender spec, with everything done in-house. This is our meticulously detailed process that makes our ground up rebuilds done the right way.
What can be said for Project RipCurl is that it started off as a diamond in the rough. This NAS 90 convertible started its journey covered in bed liner along with a frame that needed work, but it provided a great canvas to start this amazing project. We started by doing a complete teardown of the truck, chipping off every last bit of bed liner and updating the core of the build with a new galvanized chassis.
The engine was stripped down to a bare block and then professionally rebuilt and upgraded. Axles were completely disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt using all new bearings and the seals in the axle housing themselves were powder coated for maximum corrosion resistance. The suspension was upgraded with new polyurethane bushings and Terrafirma shocks and springs.
The body received some much-needed love after being stripped down, sealed, primed and repainted in Porsche Dunkel Blue with black spats, checker plates and black 16 inch Sawtooth wheels. The interior was updated with heated Corbeau seats, stainless steel shift knobs, floor plates, and door sills. The in vehicle entertainment system consists of a double DIN DVD navigation head unit, four 6.5″ component speakers and a powered subwoofer. The 3.9 liter v8 engine was tuned in house and mated with a Magnaflow performance exhaust system for optimum power and ideal sound.
